Description
A cake I made for a Lovecraft-themed New Year party I had with my friends. The characters re-enacting the Nativity are the Great Old Ones as portrayed by Francois Launet, a.k.a. Goomi, in his ongoing webcomic parody, Unspeakable Vault... of DOOM!

The base was a coffee cake, filled and crumbcoated with coffee-laced buttercream and covered in Fondarrific's gorgeous coffee-flavoured fondant - a knurd cake if ever there was one!
The recipe for this one belongs to The Pioneer Woman, and can be found HERE. It's obviously not suited for kids, but for grown-up coffee junkies like myself, it's pure bliss!
